2nd Generation Video Productions - Austin, Texas

The Malcoms are always coming up with great ideas that you will see when viewing their video tour of their company. The latest creation from 2nd Generation Productions, is the creation of an online "Video Bridal Registry" for their brides that allows  guests to purchase  specific items for the bride's video or to simply purchase a gift  card to be used toward the purchase of her video. This service is available to other videographers as well for a monthly charge.

Jerrypenney_2nd_generation_video_prThe registry pages can be customized to look like your company's web  site. You will customize a registry page for each bride and give the  bride a link to her registry page. She can include the link in her  wedding invitation, her shower, invitations, and on her page on  social networking sites. Guests will purchase items using the popular  shopping cart method, and will pay using a credit card. If you  choose, you can include the purchasers' names in a credits segment on the video: "First Dance segment given by Tom and Susie Jones". The  guest can specify how they would like to be listed as part of the  checkout process. The guest will receive an email acknowledgment. The bride and the videographer will also receive an email notification of  the gift. The bride is able at any time to log on and review all of  the gifts given for her registry. The videographer may also log on and review gifts for all registries. The registry service requires a  merchant account for handling credit card transactions. The Malcolms have  created a sample registry for a fictitious bride. If you would like  to see the registry from the point of view of someone purchasing a  gift for this couple, go to: http://www.2gvp.com/sampleregistry. If  you would like to see the registry from the point of view of the videographer offering this capability to their brides, contact Jerry and Penney at: registry@2gvp.com

Whit Wales Wedding Videography - Holden, MA

Whit Wales loves the fact that he is 48 years old and is still trying to figure out his style as a shooter and editor and to determine why he cares so deeply about this form of storytelling. He thinks that part of theWhitwales_by_david_tucker_3 appeal is because so much of the content and plot is already there, that it's a subtractive endeavor -  a whittling down  - towards scrimshaw - rather than the mayhem of an additive process - which for him is akin to Curious George and Lucy baking a cake from scratch.

In Whit's clip there is talk about shooting stills at rehearsals; those shots aren't actually included in this segment. After watching this, if you're interested, go to http://www.walefilms.com - scroll to Gallery V, where you'll see a set of rehearsal clips. You can then reference links to rehearsal still images from those weddings and others at: http://www.waleswedding.com/rehearsals.html

Whit always welcomes questions. Coming to New England? Give him a shout - whit@waleswedding.com
